26th Rembuden Taikai
On 5th & 6th September 2026 Rembuden Kendo Club [錬武殿剣道クラブ] hosts the 26th Rembuden Kendo Taikai [第26回錬武殿剣道大会], the largest and longest running Kendo Tournament in New Zealand. Rembuden Taikai is open to all-comers and attracts the highest level of competition in New Zealand.

16th New Zealand National Kendo Championship
On behalf of Yōshinkan Kendo Club, with the support of the NZKF, it is a great honour to invite you to Wellington for the 16th New Zealand National Kendo Championships. This upcoming tournament is not merely a competition, but a historic milestone for our community as 2026 also marks the 50th anniversary of the New Zealand Kendo Federation.

What's the contents of the seminar?
The 2026 seminar theme is 気 ("Ki")
Can I attempt dan grading?
There will be a dan grading event up to 5th Dan. No Kyu grading in this event.
Important Notes:
To sit for the grading examination event you must attend the Saturday and Sunday full events.
All fees must be paid on or before the due date in credit card and electronic bank payments. No cash will be accepted as a payment method.
Examination is open to all eligible FIK affiliated federations members. Your New Zealand Kendo Federation membership status has to be up to date.
