On 5th & 6th September 2026 Rembuden Kendo Club [錬武殿剣道クラブ] hosts the 26th Rembuden Kendo Taikai [第26回錬武殿剣道大会], the largest and longest running Kendo Tournament in New Zealand. Rembuden Taikai is open to all-comers and attracts the highest level of competition in New Zealand. Shiai are contested fiercely but in good spirit. If you want to test yourself in shiai, gain valuable shiai experience, have the chance to learn by seeing the best in New Zealand in action - then Rembuden Taikai is the place to be. Mark these dates in your calendar now for what will sure to be an exciting weekend of Kendo.
