Great news, a date for NZ Nationals and Winter camp (seminar) - same place, same time, one trip!

Put this in your diaries!!!!!!! Clubs, start planning for June/July a trip to Auckland

The NZKF nationals, Winter camp (seminar ), national grading and the first ever AKC Invitation Enbu Taikai will be held over the weekend of 30th June, 1-3 of July (Thursday - Sunday) at the Auckland Kendo Dojo in Newmarket Auckland. (Event will begin 10 am Thursday)

Fabulous news - Inoue Sensei's presence is guaranteed !!!

For those who did not make the Nationals last year, Inoue Sensei (Hanshi Hachidan) is the world's foremost specialist in Kata. He has published five books on Kendo and one of these, published in English, focusses on Kata. He is a leading Sensei in Japan and a key contributor to the development of Kendo in the 21st Century. His involvement last year was inspirational and for Liz Dutton and I one of the most uplifting trainings we have experienced in our combined 50 years of training. (Ouch that sounds like we're old - which of course we are not).

More details on key aspects of the Nationals and the Invitation Enbu Taikai will be sent soon. There will be a Junior Tournament. Rules are the same as 2004.
