Friday:
1000-1500 Squad and invitees
1500-1600 Sensei arrive. Shiai discussion, general advice.
1600-1730 Goudo geiko. All welcome

Saturday:
0900-1700 Kendo seminar
1700-2200 Opening of new AKC dojo, ribbon cutting, party!

Sunday:
0630-0800 Morning keiko
0900-1400 Kendo seminar. Also an iado seminar for dan candidates only, run by Oda Sensei (8th dan Iaido)
1430-1700 Kendo grading
Closing ceremony. 12 of the 14 sensei will be leaving for South Island, Inoue Sensei and Oda Sensei will remain.

Monday:
0900-1200 Iaido seminar
The Sensei will then depart for South Island to join the rest of the group.

The group will practice at Canterbury Kendo Club on Monday night. Contact Blake Bennett for details.

Waikato Kendo Club Open Championship

Individual competitions only. Participants must be NZKF members. The divisions:

Male Dan
Male Kyu
Female Dan
Female Kyu
Juniors (mixed gender, <= 14yo)

If there are more than 10 male >= 3rd Dan, the Male Dan competition will be split into <= 2nd Dan, >= 3rd Dan.

The draw is pools of 3 people. Top in each pool will advance to knockout.

Please indicate attendance by 31st May 2008

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Sei Tou Ken Yu Kai Canterbury Kendo Club. A special camp is being held by them to celebrate.

Visiting Sensei are:
Miyazaki Sensei 7th Dan (Shubukan Dojo)
Alex Bennett 6th Dan
Imafuji Masahiro 5th Dan

The camp will be focussing on good ji-geiko and lots of catching up.

Contact Blake ASAP so he can organise a schedule and rego form.
